USB is designed to handle the disconnects/reconnects anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem in practice. At least, I've never seen it be a problem. On the slave/secondary Dell (new XPS 2024 edition), I'm no longer able to put the computer to sleep when Multiplicity is installed.
