WebOct 9, 2016 · If measured by the PCM via the Fuel rail pressure sensor (FRPS), the reading will be between 40-50 PSI for a return-less system. For a return system measured delta pressure, the reading should be 40 PSI almost all of the time. For all model years check to see that the intake vacuum reference line is attached and leak free. WebJun 8, 2024 · The main problem that the sensor goes bad is because the files that Ford uses to control the fuel pump are lousy. Fuel pressures can swing from 20 to 90 and it's the high pressures that cause the fuel rail pressure sensor to get confused and out of calibration, even though not leaking.
